Jack Welch Management Institute Named to The Princeton Review's 2019 List, "Top 25 Online MBA Programs"

Leading b-school founded by Jack Welch jumps two spots in the rankings

WASHINGTON--()--The Jack Welch Management Institute® (JWMI) moved up two spots on The Princeton Review's list of top 25 online MBA programs for 2019 to #18. JWMI® has earned a spot in the ranking each year the school has applied.

The list is The Princeton Review’s fourth annual ranking of online MBA programs that is based on both surveys of administrators at the schools and of students enrolled in the schools' online MBA programs.

“This exciting recognition by The Princeton Review® confirms to me the unique excellence of our faculty and students, who are all so committed to our mission of having the most relevant, current, student-focused MBA in the world. I’m proud and thrilled, and looking forward to our continued innovation and powerful outcomes,” said Jack Welch, founder and Executive Chairman of JWMI.

"We strongly recommend JWMI as an outstanding choice for anyone considering an online MBA," said Robert Franek, The Princeton Review Editor-in-Chief. "Its program is exceptionally strong both academically and in the many ways it maximizes technology that enables students to interact with and learn from its superlative faculty and students all over the world."

The Princeton Review chose the schools for the list based on its surveys, in 2017-2018, of 75 institutions offering online MBAs and of about 5,100 students enrolled in the online MBAs programs. Data points were weighted in more than 60 unique fields to tally the final list. Criteria focused on five areas: academics, selectivity, faculty, technical platforms, and career outcomes.

The Princeton Review's feature, Best Business Schools 2019, offers in-depth profiles of the top 25 online MBA programs. In JWMI’s profile, The Princeton Review cites JWMI’s “learn it today and use it tomorrow” approach from founder and former General Electric CEO Jack Welch. Quotes from currently enrolled JWMI students noted that an MBA from the Jack Welch Management Institute program means “increased professional confidence” due to improved leadership strategies, which “can be immediately applied at work.” One student boasts, “The growth has been evident. There is an impact on my work, everybody notices it.”

The online program was also recently ranked as a top online MBA program by CEO Magazine and Poets & Quants. Serving as mentors, JWMI faculty bring decades of professional experience to the program from top companies including Merck and Co., Procter & Gamble, Johnson & Johnson, American Cancer Society and more. JWMI currently enrolls a diverse population of approximately 2,000 students, representing 47 U.S. states and 56 countries.
