Collective Medical Appoints Kat McDavitt as Chief Marketing Officer

McDavitt to position the Collective care collaboration network to enable strategic and rapid growth across all points of care

SALT LAKE CITY--()--Collective Medical, delivering the nation’s most effective network for care collaboration, today announced the appointment of Kat McDavitt as chief marketing officer. In this role, McDavitt is responsible for positioning the company to facilitate the rapid growth of the Collective Network™ across all points of care by raising awareness among care givers of how the Collective platform enables them to collaborate more effectively to care for the most vulnerable members of their communities.

McDavitt has consulted with more than 70 healthcare technology companies on marketing, communications, and corporate strategy. Her experience positioning healthcare companies ranges across small angel-funded start-ups to multi-vertical public corporations. As chief marketing officer, McDavitt will lead Collective’s positioning and demonstrate the value of its network across all points of care—enabling the rapid nationwide adoption of the Collective Platform™.

McDavitt joins Collective from Innsena Communications, a boutique integrated communications agency she founded and led to exclusively serve the healthcare technology sector. Prior to running Innsena, she spent more than seven years with Dodge Communications, now known as MERGE Atlanta, where she served as vice president leading the agency’s strategic services division. As vice president of strategic services, McDavitt handled corporate strategy and positioning, regulatory and government affairs, and high-profile media and analyst relations initiatives. She was embedded in several of the agency’s most notable healthcare technology accounts including Change Healthcare, Surescripts, NextGen Healthcare, and Kareo.

“Kat is unstoppable. She blends pattern recognition with unflappable drive and true passion for her carefully-honed craft—to tell the story,” says Chris Klomp, CEO of Collective Medical. “She takes what is complicated and makes it approachable, highlights the human element and then backs it up with hard data to convey truth, and most importantly, never deviates from her own values and authenticity while giving voice to those whose messages need to be shared. Kat’s work for Collective, while with Innsena, was first rate. We feel grateful that she was willing to take a chance on us to help tell our story as we seek to connect care givers across the continuum so that they may more effectively fulfill their common stewardship for the most vulnerable members of our community.”

“It’s a rare opportunity to work with a company that’s truly changing the lives of vulnerable patients at scale and across all points of care,” says McDavitt. “It’s a privilege to tell the stories of so many engaged physicians, SNFists, behavioral health clinicians, care managers and others using Collective to solve some of the industry’s biggest challenges—including reducing readmissions, mitigating the opioid epidemic and addressing social determinants. I’m proud to be a part of it.”

Collective Medical is endorsed as a best practice for emergency medicine by the American College of Emergency Physicians. The company has been recognized by Inc. Magazine and by the MountainWest Capital Network as one of Utah’s fastest growing companies.
