Physicians' Education Resource® Will Host the 13th Annual New York Lung Cancer Symposium®

Redesigned meeting fosters a collaboration between attendees and distinguished professionals from the multidisciplinary oncology team

CRANBURY, N.J.--()--Physicians’ Education Resource® (PER®), the leading resource for oncology and hematology continuing medical education, will present its 13th Annual New York Lung Cancers Symposium® on Saturday, Nov. 10, at the New York Marriott Marquis. The program will be co-chaired by renowned oncologists, Mark G. Kris, M.D., attending physician, thoracic oncology service, William and Joy Ruane Chair in Thoracic Oncology, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York, and Roman Perez-Soler, M.D., chairman, department of oncology, Montefiore Medical Center, professor of medicine and molecular pharmacology, deputy cancer center director, Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York.

Directed toward medical and radiation oncologists, thoracic surgeons, and pulmonologists, the symposium is a one-day interactive educational program that will provide attendees with a comprehensive overview of lung cancer diagnosis and multidisciplinary treatment. This year’s meeting has been altered to increase attendees’ knowledge and competence of lung cancer therapy, starting with the roles that surgery, radiology, pulmonology and pathology play in ensuring the most accurate diagnoses of lung cancers. Attendees will also get the opportunity to hear experts from the New York area discussing optimal approaches for early-stage and locally advanced disease, as well as hear them present the latest data on immunotherapy and targeted agents in metastatic lung cancers.
