IRVINE, Calif.--()--Last weekend, Tilly’s Life Center (TLC), a youth-focused 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, held its 4th Annual “I Am Giving” Gala in a nostalgic and roaring setting at The Yost Theater to benefit TLC’s social and emotional learning program. Sponsors, supporters and friends of TLC gathered for an evening of dancing, drinks, family style gourmet food, music, live and silent auctions accompanied by a TLC graduate’s captivating story of forgiveness. Their overwhelming support resulted in raising over a half a million dollars for TLC.

“We are overwhelmed by the support we’ve received from this year’s gala. On behalf of TLC, I’d like to give thanks to all of our loyal supporters who have donated and believe in our mission of empowering today’s youth with soft skills, emotional intelligence and coping techniques,” said TLC’s Founder, Tilly Levine.

Led into the adjoining 1912 venue by red carpet, guest mingled with wine and cocktails as they bid on silent auction items before they entered the red and purple illuminated main event adorned in art deco décor for dinner and a dance-inducing live musical performance by Soulville California.

Following Tilly Levine’s inspiring speech, the auctioneer, Zachary Krone opened up the live auction segment of the night where attendees generously bid on the following items: Live Nation VIP Experience, Gourmet Chef Dinner for 10 by Yoav Schverd, Two Tickets to Sammy Hagar’s Birthday Bash at Cabo Wabo, Four-Night Stay in Havana (Cuba), One-on-One Lunch with the Chairman of Angels Baseball at Pelican Hill along with four Chairman Seats to a 2019 Game, a One Week (Winter or Summer) Stay at Tilly’s Personal Vacation Condo in Whistler, Canada, a Private Soiree at the Crescent Hotel Beverly Hills and The Habit Food Truck for 150 people.

In addition to the speeches and live auction, TLC’s Graduate, Eric Kenneth shared his touching personal journey of learning the power of forgiveness for his abusive, alcoholic father through TLC’s program and how that relationship has flourished during his time with TLC.

The night included two very special honorees; Orangewood Foundation was presented with TLC’s “I Am Inspiring” Award and CSI Electrical Contractors Inc, and Steve Watts accepted the “I Am One of A Kind” Award.

Tilly’s Life Center would like to thank all its dedicated volunteers, attendees, loyal supporters and sponsors who helped make its 4th Annual “I Am Giving” Gala a tremendous success.
