NEWPORT BEACH, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Caregivers of Duchenne muscular dystrophy and patients suffering from the rare disease on the east coast will have an opportunity to learn about the best practices of care for Duchenne at a conference titled “Futures” hosted by nonprofit CureDuchenne. CureDuchenne Futures will be held on November 3rd and 4th, 2018 at the Sheraton Needham, located at 100 Cabot St. in Needham, MA. One of the highlights of Futures will be its “Expert Meet-ups” in which caregivers and patients will have an opportunity to sit down in face-to-face meetings with leading scientists, clinicians and other experts. What’s more, adults living with Duchenne will talk about how they navigate Duchenne while staying positive.
CureDuchenne Futures will also feature a poster exhibit, panel discussions on nutrition, navigating insurance, steroid use and preserving mobility.
Childcare is available on-site and fun activities will be available for children of all ages, including arts and crafts, a gaming lounge, a photo booth, and more.
