$16K in Grant Funds Will Help Promote Financial Literacy in Houston

HOUSTON--()--CommunityBank of Texas and the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas (FHLB Dallas) will award $16,000 in Partnership Grant Program (PGP) funds to Credit Coalition to help offset operational costs that will enable the organization to continue to provide complimentary financial counseling to community members in the greater Houston and Beaumont/Port Arthur areas.

Local dignitaries and bank representatives will award the funds at a check presentation at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, October 4, 2018, at CommunityBank of Texas’ offices at 9 Greenway Plaza in Houston. The media is encouraged to attend.

The structure of the PGP enables FHLB Dallas member institutions like CommunityBank of Texas to make a contribution of $500 to $4,000 to a community-based organization (CBO), which FHLB Dallas will match at a 3:1 ratio.
