IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Today, CTC Global announces the introduction of the new ultra-high strength ACCC® AZR™ conductor. This product was developed for utilities that require cost-effective solutions for extremely long spans or extremely heavy ice loads, or both.
The ACCC AZR conductor can be ordered with CTC’s standard 310 ksi core or its 375 ksi ULS core (for reference high strength steel is rated at 275 ksi). The new AZR version leverages one or more layers of AT3 Aluminum Zirconium alloy strands to further increase the ACCC conductor’s strength and stiffness which make it ideally suited for long spans, high tensions, and extreme ice load events.

The new product addition was developed in collaboration with a number of CTC Global’s manufacturing partners and customers and has successfully passed a series of very arduous third-party conductor and hardware tests.
