BancorpSouth and FHLB Dallas to Celebrate $100K Grant Benefiting Homeless Shelter

FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla.--()--BancorpSouth Bank and the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas (FHLB Dallas) will celebrate a $100,000 Affordable Housing Program (AHP) grant that was awarded to Community Solutions, which built One Hopeful Place, a shelter that serves homeless single adults with disabling mental health and substance abuse conditions.

A ceremonial check presentation will take place at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 19, 2018, at One Hopeful Place at 1564 Percy L. Coleman Road in Fort Walton Beach. The media is encouraged to attend.

FHLB Dallas annually returns 10 percent of its profits in the form of AHP grants to the communities served by its member institutions such as BancorpSouth Bank. AHP grants fund a variety of projects, including home rehabilitation and modifications for low-income, elderly and special-needs residents; down payment and closing cost assistance for qualified first-time homebuyers; and the construction of low-income, multifamily rental communities and single-family homes.
