Headspace Kicks Off School Year with New Student Pricing Plan

As Life on Campus Becomes Increasingly Stressful, Headspace Aims to Help College and Graduate Students Manage Stress and Improve Focus

SANTA MONICA, Calif.--()--Just in time for the start of the Fall semester, Headspace, the global leader in meditation and mindfulness, today announced the launch of its new student pricing plan for college and graduate students. At just $9.99 per year, this new pricing plan was developed to help students around the country reduce stress and improve focus in an increasingly demanding campus environment.

We have heard directly from students around the country that they feel overwhelmed by heavy coursework, internship demands, and social pressure,” said Headspace’s Chief Executive Officer, Rich Pierson. “At the same time, we know that meditation can help them with stress, feeling overwhelmed, and finding focus. That’s why we developed our new student pricing plan to offer an affordable and accessible tool for combating stress and improving focus.”

In fact, Headspace has been shown to reduce stress and improve focus. In a published University of Southern California study conducted with medical students, 60 days of daily Headspace resulted in a 17 percent reduction in stress. In other published studies, just 10 days of Headspace use resulted in 14 percent reduction in stress, and four weeks of Headspace resulted in 14 percent increase in focus.

For less than twenty cents per week, university students will have access to the full Headspace library of nearly 1,000 hours of meditation and mindfulness content, including:

  • Two, ten-session Student packs: Leaving Home and Distractions
  • Five, ten-session Work & Performance packs: Prioritization, Productivity, Finding Focus, Creativity, and Balance
  • Several singles on Exam Preparation, Presentations, and Interviews
