BETHESDA, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA) is pleased to announce the beginning of the fall 2018 Walk4Hearing, the largest program of its kind for people with hearing loss. Beginning on September 23 in New York City, HLAA will host events in 12 cities to increase awareness about hearing loss, raise funds to support national and local programs, and engage the community. The theme for this year’s Walk4Hearing is get your hearing screened. Untreated hearing loss affects overall health in negative ways. People with hearing loss face an increased risk of falls, isolation, anxiety, depression, and possibly even cognitive decline.
