BROOKLYN CENTER, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Students and teachers at Insight School of Minnesota (ISMN) will start the 2018-2019 school year on September 10, simply by turning on their computers. An online public school, ISMN is a tuition-free education option for students across Minnesota in grades 6 through 12. ISMN combines innovative technology, a rigorous curriculum and dedicated staff to support each student’s academic and personal success.

ISMN offers an engaging curriculum, and provides students with a personalized learning experience. Minnesota-licensed teachers facilitate lessons during live, interactive online classes. Through the state’s Postsecondary Enrollment Options Program, eligible ISMN students can earn college credits at higher education institutions throughout the state while they work towards earning a high school diploma.
ISMN’s Student Success Program, which includes social and emotional learning resources, family support, remediation programs and college and career counseling, helps students build confidence and independence as they prepare for life after high school.
To keep students on track towards graduation, ISMN deploys a Family Academic Support Team (FAST) of licensed social workers and other school personnel. FAST offers integrated support to families, teachers and students with the goal of improving academic outcomes. Along with community partners, FAST aims to prevent and eliminate the barriers that can leave students vulnerable to falling behind, before such needs arise.
Throughout the year, ISMN builds a sense of community through in-person field trips, community service opportunities and social outings. Graduating seniors are celebrated at an in-person commencement ceremony each spring. ISMN alumni have gone on to enroll in two- and four-year colleges and universities, join the Armed Forces and enter in-demand careers.
