Cadillac Casting Pioneers Providing Impact Cryotherapy as Free Employee Benefit

CADILLAC, Mich.--()--Cadillac Casting, one of the largest independent iron foundries in the US, has become one of the first companies in America to provide cryotherapy as a free benefit for employees to help them recover from the physical demands of working in an iron foundry.

The company provides unlimited access to its 400 employees and their spouses to sessions in an Impact Cryotherapy Cryosauna that is operated by Pine Grove Athletic Club in Cadillac, MI.

Using cold temperatures to promote natural healing and wellness, Impact cryosaunas provide whole-body cryotherapy as a fast and effective alternative therapy. The treatments direct controlled applications of temperatures down to -250 degrees Fahrenheit, which help promote whole-body wellness.

Dan Minor, chairman of the board and of Cadillac Casting has been an innovator in his industry and after experiencing the physical benefits of Impact Cryotherapy himself, he determined that cryosauna treatments should be available to his employees at no cost.

“There are numerous benefits of cryotherapy,” says Minor. “Impact Cryotherapy equipment is so beneficial to professional and collegiate athletes, why not make it available to the industrial employee? It was just the right thing to do.”

Chad Finnegan, Vice President of Business Development for Impact, says that Minor is helping “bring cryotherapy and wellness to the front lines of the day-to-day aches and pains of working Americans.”

Cadillac Casting employees have already begun to make use of the Impact Cryotherapy Cryosauna at Pine Grove Athletic Club.

Carolyn Richards, manager and owner of Pine Grove Athletic Club explains “Cadillac Casting employees can get recovery in three minutes that they can’t get in an evening or sometimes days. Cryotherapy also gives them more time to be with their families and do other things outside work besides rest and recovery.”

“If our production workers feel healthier, and feel better about themselves, then our productivity should increase,” says Minor, “We’re trying to think outside the box here.” Minor selected Impact Cryotherapy to provide the cryosauna in part because its equipment is made in America. Finnegan commented, “Dan found an American manufacturer and a business solution to provide a consistent experience with a complete service and support team by partnering with Impact Cryotherapy.”

Cryotherapy began in Japan in the 1970s as a way to alleviate rheumatoid arthritis and has become a vital tool for recovery and wellness.
