(NASDAQ: SYMC), the world’s leading cyber security company, today announced that more than 16,000 law enforcement personnel are better equipped to fight identity theft as a result of the FBI-LEEDA – LifeLock Identity Theft Training Summit program. These summits in collaboration with FBI-Law Enforcement Executive Association (FBI-LEEDA) address a range of identity theft issues presented by distinguished law enforcement personnel with specialized skills and experience in identity theft, high technology crimes and fraud. Attendees benefit from real-world scenarios and technical demos to not just combat identity theft, but to also understand the economic, personal and employment impacts to victims.
In the U.S. alone, nearly 60 million Americans have been affected by identity theft1.

Symantec and FBI-LEEDA will celebrate the 10th anniversary of the program in October and officially complete 250 summits. Upcoming trainings include:

- July 19: Toronto, Ontario, Canada
- August 7-8: Mission, Kan.
- September 11: Boise, Idaho
- October 2: Birmingham, Ala.

The FBI-LEEDA – LifeLock Identity Theft Training Summits are available to law enforcement, including: prosecutors, command level, investigative personnel, and patrol officers for free.
