IRVING, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Suppliers interested in showcasing their innovative technology to clinicians nationwide are encouraged to act quickly to apply to participate in the 2018 Vizient Innovative Technology Exchange. The event will take place on Thursday, October 4, 2018, at the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas as part of the 2018 Vizient Connection Summit. The deadline to apply is Friday, July 13, 2018.
The 2018 Innovative Technology Exchange is expected to attract approximately 2,000 clinicians from academic medical centers, health systems and community hospitals from across the nation. The Exchange format offers up to 100 selected suppliers the unique opportunity to connect with clinicians and discuss how their products and solutions improve clinical outcomes, enhance safety or drive incremental improvements to the health care business model.
“The Innovative Technology Exchange is one of most anticipated events because the 'hands-on' format gives suppliers and clinicians the opportunity to interact and learn about these new and unique solutions. This high level of interaction gives them the knowledge they need to return to their hospitals and confidently discuss the new technology with physicians and other colleagues,” said Debbie Archer, procurement director at Vizient.
Vizient’s annual Innovative Technology Exchange is one component of the company’s Innovative Technology Program that includes product review by member-led councils and task forces of supplier-submitted technologies. Since 2003, Vizient has reviewed more than 2200 new and innovative technologies. This review process may result in an Innovative Technology contract with Vizient.
