Colony Credit Real Estate, Inc. Added to the US Small-cap Russell 2000 Index

LOS ANGELES--()--Colony Credit Real Estate, Inc. (NYSE: CLNC) (“Colony Credit Real Estate”) has joined the Small-cap Russell 2000® and broad-market Russell 3000® Indexes as a result of the Russell US indexes annual reconstitution, effective today June 25, 2018.

Annual Russell US indexes reconstitution captures the 4,000 largest US stocks as of May 11, 2018 ranking them by total market capitalization. Membership in the Russell 2000® Index, which remains in place for one year, is based on membership in the broad-market Russell 3000® Index. The stock also was automatically added to the appropriate growth and value indexes. FTSE Russell determines membership for its Russell US Indexes primarily by objective, market-capitalization rankings and style attributes.

“Colony Credit Real Estate achieved immediate scale and diversification with the successful merger and listing at the beginning of the year and we are diligently focused on growing the business through new investments and by prudently managing our existing assets,” said Colony Credit Real Estate’s Chief Executive Officer and President, Kevin P. Traenkle. “Becoming a member of the small-cap Russell 2000 Index affirms the breadth of the business we have established and our opportunities for growth. I am very pleased for our shareholders and team,” said Mr. Traenkle.

Russell US Indexes are widely used by investment managers and institutional investors as the basis for index funds and as benchmarks for active investment strategies. Approximately $9 trillion in assets are benchmarked against Russell US Indexes. Russell US Indexes are part of FTSE Russell, a leading global index provider.
