DUBLIN--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The "Statistics: Fibre Consumption for Technical Textile Production in Japan, 2018" report from Textiles Intelligence Ltd. has been added to ResearchAndMarkets.com's offering.
This report includes statistical data and analysis of the Japanese man-made fibre and technical textiles industry under the following headings: man-made fibre production and consumption in Japan; man-made fibre consumption for technical textile applications in Japan; and production of technical textiles in Japan.
It also includes an outlook for the Japanese technical textile industry and contains a wealth of recently released data for 2017. Man-made fibre production in Japan declined in 2017 to its second lowest level on record. Indeed, there were declines in the production of filament yarn production and staple fibre production.
Furthermore, consumption of domestically produced fibres for industrial textile production in 2016/17 was down by 4.3% to its lowest level in at least 20 years. There were several bright spots, however, as the consumption of fibres for industrial use rose to its highest level for five years. Also, nonwoven fabric production reached a record high-reflecting strong growth in nonwoven fabric production for household goods, also to a record high, and in nonwoven fabric production for industrial uses, to its highest level since 2008.
