GREENVILLE, S.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Cyber Academy of South Carolina (CASC) will celebrate the Class of 2018 at an in-person commencement ceremony on Saturday, June 9 at the Embassy Suites in Columbia. An online public charter school, CASC graduates earn their high school diploma while they explore their interests in a personalized learning environment.
Collectively, the Class of 2018’s 100 students report having been offered more than $700,000 in college scholarship opportunities. The class reports having been accepted to higher education institutions across the country, including Auburn University, Clemson University, College of Charleston, Grand Canyon University, Spartanburg Community College and the University of South Carolina. One graduate will enter the Armed Forces, and more than 30 will enter the full-time workforce.
“Congratulations to CASC’s Class of 2018 and their families,” said Head of School David Crook. “It is an honor to provide students in South Carolina with this online learning option, and it is with great pride that we send this year’s graduates onto their next chapters.”
CASC students access a robust online curriculum in core subjects, as well as a host of electives. High school students can explore Career and Technical Education (CTE) course work through CASC’s Destinations program. More than 50 members of the Class of 2018 have completed a Destinations pathway in either business management and administration or information technology.
Dr. Robert Gustafson, President of Erskine College, will give the keynote address. David Crook, as well as graduating seniors, will be available for media interviews.
