JK Brown Joins Coatue as Senior Managing Director

NEW YORK--()--Coatue Management, a leading global investment manager focused on public and private technology companies, is pleased to announce that James Keith (JK) Brown has joined the firm as a Senior Managing Director. JK will be part of a senior leadership team focused on executing Coatue’s financial objectives, strategic direction, client engagement and management. Mr. Brown succeeds Walter Lee, who is leaving the firm.

JK has had an extensive career, spanning over 25 years, and significant global investment and asset management experience. He was most recently at Och-Ziff Capital Management for 14 years, where he was a Senior Managing Director. JK was a senior member of the firm’s Executive Management Committee, Operating Management Committee, and Business Risk Committee, while being the Global Head of Investor Relations. Prior to Och-Ziff, JK was a Managing Director and Head of US Sales and Relationship Management at Goldman Sachs Asset Management.
