Edifecs Launches Solutions for Small and Mid-Sized Health Plans

Solutions tailored for easy implementation and cost efficiencies

BELLEVUE, Wash.--()--Edifecs, a global health information technology solutions company, today announced the launch of its Edifecs SMB Solutions suite of products, including Smart Trading and Encounter Management for SMBs. The offerings were purpose-built to meet the unique needs of small and medium-sized health plans.

Edifecs has leveraged its more than 20 years of experience and knowledge working in the healthcare industry to build solutions designed to address the biggest challenges SMBs face. The solutions are designed to expedite the procurement process, reduce implementation time, and are easily customizable to address specific business functions or processes.

“Enterprise-grade solutions can be costly and require dedicated implementation resources. Many small and mid-sized health plans have been forced to build their own solutions internally. Edifecs is one of the first companies to offer solutions designed for the SMB market,” said Sunny Singh, President and CEO of Edifecs. “SMBs are challenged with narrow resources but intense pressure to integrate and share data. Edifecs new suite of technology delivers best-in-class technology scaled to fit the footprint of SMBs while solving their biggest data integration and visualization challenges.”

Edifecs Smart Trading for SMBs delivers out-of-the-box support HIPAA, HL7, FHIR and NCPDP coding standards through a pre-built library, ensuring fast and accurate data delivery. Small to mid-size payers can quickly implement a cost-effective integration solution that delivers interoperability, data visualization, and improves data quality. The solution harnesses financial, clinical, and administrative data to drive business initiatives and enable administrative automation. “On-the-wire” logic provides transparent, actionable data metrics and the discovery of new opportunities.

Encounter Management solution for SMBs is delivered as a software as a service (SaaS) in order to be cost-effective for small and mid-sized Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) and Medicare Advantage Organizations (MAOs). These types of health plans must juggle resource limitations with the operational complexity and potential revenue leakage caused by strict encounter data submission requirements and constantly changing rules published by CMS and State Medicaids.

The introduction of Edifecs’ SMB Solutions suite for small and mid-sized health plans demonstrates the company’s commitment to supporting the technology needs of partners of all sizes. Edifecs recently earned HITRUST CSF Certification of its hosted offerings, meeting industry-defined requirements for storage and accessibility of sensitive health information in the cloud environment. This certification validates Edifecs’ pledge to its clients’ safety, security and success.
