Denim Group's ThreadFix Named 2018 Winner of Info Security PG's Global Excellence Awards

Application Vulnerability Management Tool Accelerates Remediation by 44 Percent

SAN ANTONIO--()--Denim Group, the leading independent application security firm, today announced their vulnerability management platform, ThreadFix, has been named a winner in the Info Security Products Guide Global Excellence Awards®. ThreadFix was recognized for Innovation in Compliance, Vulnerability Assessment, Remediation and Management and Security Products and Solutions for Government. These global awards recognize ground-breaking cybersecurity and information technology products, solutions, and services that are helping set the bar higher for others in all areas of security and technologies.

ThreadFix enables developers and security professionals to identify and remediate software vulnerabilities during development and testing and is one of the first products in the industry to provide a comprehensive view of the state of software security within an organization by identifying the most critical and impactful vulnerabilities. The product is the first vulnerability management tool to use patent-pending Hybrid Analysis Mapping technology to pinpoint the exact line of source code responsible for vulnerabilities identified by dynamic security scans.

“ThreadFix minimizes application risk by consolidating vulnerability scan reports and injecting this information to leading defect trackers and Governance, Risk and Compliance tools,” said Principal of Denim Group, John Dickson. “Putting this information squarely in the hands of security operators and risk management decision makers, drives quantitative risk-based decision making and we are proud that ThreadFix is earning recognition from institutions like Info Security Products Guide.”

Recently, Denim Group teamed with Wipro Limited, which will support the simplification of digital risk management by enabling customers to roll out secure software faster. This alliance parallels Denim Group’s continuous investment in the development of ThreadFix – a process that has led to the platform now being accessible as an AMI on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and through AWS Government Cloud (GovCloud). This access makes it easier than ever for enterprise and government customers to deploy and manage software assurance programs in the cloud, exponentially cutting down on the time it takes to do so.

Denim Group will be attending the RSA conference in April, offering demos of ThreadFix at Booth #3440 in Moscone North. Additionally, both Dickson and Dan Cornell, CTO, will be facilitating Peer2Peer sessions during the week. Dickson’s session, Practical Applications of AI in Security: Success Stories from the Field, will take place on April 18 at 10:30 am PT, and Cornell’s session, Enterprise Adoption of Consumer IoT: Addressing the Security Concerns, will take place on April 19 at 11:45 am PT.
