Skinny IT Creates Board of Advisors, Adds Three Seasoned Fortune 500 Executives

FRISCO, Texas--()--Skinny IT, a Frisco-based information technology (IT) service provider, today announced the creation of its Board of Advisors, beginning with the additions of Jim Dixon, former Chief Executive Officer of CompuCom; Kevin Gilroy, former Executive Vice President and General Manager of the enterprise division of Samsung; and Joseph Kim, Chief Executive Officer of Sunoco.

Dixon has more than 20 years of experience in the IT industry having served as CEO for CompuCom Systems, Inc., a Dallas-based $2.2 billion IT outsourcing company, from 1987 to 1996. Dixon rejoined the company in 2004 for a second tenure when CompuCom became a private company. He retired in May 2013, and became Chairman of the Board until early 2015. Dixon’s past professional experience includes executive-level positions with Bell Atlantic and IBM. In August 2016, Dixon was inducted into the IT Hall of Fame, an esteemed list honored by the Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) that recognizes the careers and contributions of the IT industry’s top innovators and leaders.

With more than 30 years’ experience in the B2B technology space, Gilroy is a seasoned IT executive who brings a wealth of experience in the enterprise computing industry. He served as Executive Vice President and General Manager of the commercial division for Samsung from 2015 to 2017. Formerly, Gilroy served in a variety of executive sales roles for SAP Americas, Arrow Electronics, OnForce and Hewlett Packard. His career reflects a track record of building teams, optimizing cultures and growing revenue, cash, and market share for mid- and large-cap technology companies.

Kim serves as Chief Executive Officer of Dallas-based Sunoco LP. Prior to his appointment as CEO, he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer for Sunoco from October 2015 to June 2017, where he was responsible for all business development and merger and acquisition activities across the partnership. Kim’s past experience includes the position of Chief Operating Officer at Pizza Hut from February 2013 to October 2015. Formerly, he worked for fifteen years at Valero Energy where his most recent position was Senior Vice President of strategy and growth. He began his career with Arthur Andersen Business Consulting.
