BROOMFIELD, Colo.--()--Conga, the global leader in Intelligent Document Automation, today announced the appointment of Mary Sparks as the company’s new vice president of privacy and compliance. Sparks will focus on global data privacy and compliance concerns including; GDPR, vendor management, cross-border data transfer agreements, and strategies to expand the company’s product compliance efforts through assessments and certifications.

“The addition of Mary will add to our already remarkable security and compliance team, which maintains Conga’s comprehensive security and privacy programs and protects our customers’ data at all levels,” said Travis Howe, CISO at Conga. “Not only does Mary have a true knack for security, but she is a fantastic communicator, leader and all-around people person – attributes that make her a perfect fit at a company like Conga.”

Prior to that, Sparks was director of compliance at ViaWest (now Flexential), where she was responsible for directing the information security compliance program for one of the largest privately-held colocation, managed services, and cloud providers in North America.

“Even before I officially joined the Conga team, it was clear just how much the company prioritizes and understands the serious challenges that organizations today face when it comes to security, privacy and compliance,” said Sparks. “I couldn’t be more excited to lead the company’s privacy and compliance efforts and ensure its thousands of customers feel confident that their data is safe, secure and compliant throughout the entire document process.”

The announcement of Spark’s hire comes at exciting time for Conga, as the company recently agreed to acquire Octiv, an industry-leading provider of web-based document solutions, and launched its new eSignature product, Conga Sign.
