Centrify CEO Tom Kemp Recognized as a Top 100 Influencer in Identity

Centrify Also Honored in Three Categories of 2018 Cybersecurity Excellence Awards

SANTA CLARA, Calif.--()--Centrify, a leading provider of Zero Trust Security through the power of Next-Gen Access, today announced that Tom Kemp, chief executive officer at Centrify, has been recognized as a 2018 Top 100 Influencer in Identity by One World Identity (OWI), an independent strategy and research company.

“Centrify is challenging the status quo by encouraging companies to rethink security and implement a modern, Zero Trust Security model that verifies every user, validates their devices, and limits access and privilege,” said Kemp. “Identity is the primary attack vector used by hackers to access valuable information. Until business leaders accept that critical realization, we’ll continue to see costly, high-profile breaches across all industries.”

The OWI list represents pioneers, innovators and pace setters who are working to advance inclusion, improve products and services, keep personal data safe, and ensure and protect individual privacy. This year's top 100 were selected based on industry clout and influencer status, number of publications and professional speaking engagements in 2017, number of total nominations and time in industry.

"OWI is proud to spotlight and honor those who are working to advance the identity industry," OWI Chief Executive and cofounder Travis Jarae said. "In 2017, many identity issues came to the forefront, including financial inclusion, data security, identity theft, and looming federal regulation. As companies, governments and individuals look to address these concerns, we believe these Top 100 Influencers in Identity will be leading the way throughout 2018.”

Centrify was also recognized in three categories of the 2018 Cybersecurity Excellence Awards:

  • Centrify Identity Services was named the silver winner in the Best Identity Management Solution category
  • Centrify CMO Rhonda Shantz was named the bronze winner in the Cybersecurity Marketer of the Year category
  • Centrify was named a finalist in the Best Cybersecurity Company category

“We are honored to be recognized by the Cybersecurity Excellence Awards for changing the cybersecurity discussion and rethinking traditional security approaches to address the age of access and cloud adoption to a Zero Trust Security model,” said Shantz. “We are seeing momentum for Zero Trust Security through the power of Next-Gen Access validated by customers as well as key influencers, including being the only security provider recognized for leadership and strong performance across three Forrester Wave research reports.”

The 2018 Cybersecurity Excellence Awards celebrate individuals and companies that demonstrate excellence, innovation and leadership in information security. The winners were announced based on the strength of their nominations and the popular vote by members of the Information Security Community.
