IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--First Foundation Inc. (NASDAQ: FFWM), a financial services company with two wholly-owned operating subsidiaries, First Foundation Advisors and First Foundation Bank, today announced a major partnership with Honolulu Habitat for Humanity (“Habitat for Humanity”). First Foundation will purchase all 21 loans the charitable organization issued on properties it built for families in need.
“A cornerstone of our culture at First Foundation is to act as stewards for the communities in which we work and live,” said Scott F. Kavanaugh, Chief Executive Officer at First Foundation. “Hawaii has given our organization so much, and we’re thrilled to be able to return the favor. A lifetime of financial security requires a solid foundation, and it’s truly an honor to collaborate with such a wonderful organization in providing affordable housing.”
First Foundation Bank will service the loans at no cost to the homeowners or to Habitat for Humanity, ultimately reducing the financial burden for families. Honolulu Habitat for Humanity will utilize the proceeds from the loan purchase to help them advance their mission of building and remodeling homes for families with limited incomes.
“Developing a partnership with First Foundation was a tremendous opportunity for our organization and the families we serve. Not only do they appreciate our mission, they understand our needs and challenges to fulfill that mission,” said Jim Murphy, Executive Director of Honolulu Habitat for Humanity.
First Foundation has partnered with local Habitat for Humanity chapters in several different regions throughout the West Coast, including Orange County, Las Vegas, and Coachella Valley. The firm is also represented on the organization’s Board of Directors in both Orange County and Coachella Valley.
