DES PLAINES, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The women’s leadership organization AWESOME (Achieving Women’s Excellence in Supply Chain, Operations, Management and Education) is inviting senior women leaders in supply chain to participate in the organization’s sixth annual Symposium, “AWESOME Leaders – Making a Difference.” The event is taking place on May 9-11, 2018, at the Orlando World Center Marriott, in Orlando, Florida.
Host Partner JDA Software, leading supply chain provider powering today’s digital transformation, will join Founding Partner DSC Logistics and other sponsors in providing two days of interaction and discussions. A third day of continued networking offers options for unique local experiences. One of the options will be a tour giving a behind-the-scenes view of Disney World’s supply chain.
Also heading the line-up of sponsors are three AWESOME “Champions”: Johnson & Johnson, McDonald’s, and NIKE, Inc.
The annual Symposium’s signature features include panel discussions by senior supply chain leaders, Up-Close Conversations with highly accomplished executives, and “Buzz” sessions during which participants exchange ideas and insights about topics they’ve just heard discussed. On Day Two of the Symposium, the 2018 AWESOME Legendary Leadership Award will be presented to two outstanding women in recognition of their outstanding accomplishments and contributions to the advancement of women’s leadership.
Senior-level leaders who have been invited also may recommend a high-potential, high-performing woman in their organization to participate in the Symposium. This is one way of “making a difference,” while other elements will focus on expanding the senior executive’s impact on her organization and her community, her peers and the entire supply chain field, as well as taking her own leadership and career to the next level.
