COLUMBUS, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)--America Mentors’ mission is to help increase college graduation rates for first-generation, low-income students through mentoring. For National Mentoring Month, America Mentors (powered by MentorcliQ), is offering 20 new programs in 2018 with free mentoring software for colleges, universities and community organizations.
11% of first-generation, low-income students graduate college, compared to 55% of peers who are not first-generation, low-income students. First-generation students also demonstrate lower rates of college readiness compared to their non-first-generation peers, according to a Pell Institute Study.
MentorcliQ’s award-winning mentoring software powers the America Mentors program providing a full-featured system for recruiting, enrolling, matching, managing, and measuring results. America Mentors uses a proven curriculum that enables guided interactions between mentor pairs, fostering strong relationships through timely and relevant conversations.
America Mentors' participant, I Know I Can says, “Our experience has been outstanding. We have been able to enroll mentors and mentees with ease. We have received great feedback from participants.”
MentorcliQ CEO Phil George says, “We are proud to help thousands of first-generation, low-income students at organizations like The Ohio State University, NC State University and Virginia Commonwealth University. And we are thrilled to open 20 new programs this year to help even more students.”
