DES MOINES, Iowa--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Principal Financial Group® (NYSE: PFG) announced today the launch of the Principal U.S. Mega-Cap Multi-Factor Index ETF (Ticker: USMC). USMC is a strategic beta Exchange Traded Fund, which tracks the largest U.S. companies in the Nasdaq U.S. Large Cap Index, offering investors a concentrated exposure to U.S. mega-cap equities with a tilt toward lower volatility stocks. The ETF will be managed by Principal Global Investors.
“Everyone likely has domestic large-cap equity exposure, USMC provides a more efficient way to get that exposure with potentially better risk adjusted returns,” said Paul Kim, managing director of ETF Strategy with Principal Global Investors. “This launch reflects our commitment to meeting the current and future needs of our clients and to continuing to grow our ETF platform. We’re focused on continuing to expand our suite of equity strategic beta funds, leveraging our expertise as an active manager.”
With this new offering, Principal has launched nine ETFs since 2015 and plans to launch additional ETFs throughout the remainder of 2017. For more information on Principal’s ETF offerings go to www.principalfunds.com/etf-funds.
