ANAHEIM, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--CoolSys™, a market-leading refrigeration and HVAC company, announced that Burton Hong has joined the firm as executive vice president, general counsel and secretary. Hong will oversee the company’s legal operations and serve as a member of the leadership team overseeing the CoolSys family of service brands, including Source Refrigeration & HVAC, Service Refrigeration Company (SRC), Legacy Air, Refrigeration Solutions Incorporated (RSI) and Advanced Refrigeration Systems.

Hong has more than 15 years of experience within the legal industry both as in-house counsel and at leading law firms. Before joining CoolSys, he served as executive vice president, general counsel, and corporate secretary for nine years at Park Energy Group, which owns several companies that provide critical services and products to the energy and industrial sectors. Previously, he worked as a securities litigation and enforcement associate in the Washington, D.C. office of LeClair Ryan and as a litigation associate in the Washington, D.C. office at Jones Day.
Hong began his legal career as an intern to the Honorable Vanessa Gilmore for the U.S. Federal District Court in Houston, Texas. He earned his Juris Doctor from the Georgetown University Law Center and a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and economics from Rice University in Houston, Texas.
