ADA, Okla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--LegalShield, one of North America’s leading providers of affordable legal plans and the IDShield identity theft solution for individuals, families and small businesses, announced today that it is offering a voice-activated intelligent virtual assistant that can be used with any Amazon hands-free device that supports its digital assistant Alexa, and Google Home. To accommodate members’ changing lifestyle and communication habits, LegalShield for Alexa and LegalShield for Google Home allow users to interact with their devices and ask questions. Voice-activated engagement leverages a growing segment of intelligent technology, and provides a higher-quality user experience for members and prospective customers who are seeking information or advice about LegalShield services and legal issues.
Users can verbally ask questions just like they would talk to a person. The new voice-activated assistant answers a range of questions addressing legal needs, and is optimized for voice recognition. It can answer a variety of LegalShield membership and general knowledge questions, as well as commonly asked legal questions, with replies drawing from information based on the over 1.6 million legal intakes recorded by the company’s network of provider law firms annually. The voice-activated assistant is free, but any applicable costs associated with internet access and wireless service will apply.
“LegalShield prides itself in driving innovation across our product line, consistently delivering new features and updates to benefit our members,” said CEO Jeff Bell. “We are confident that our new voice-activated assistant will enhance our award-winning customer service—and boost sales by providing an additional platform to get the information you need.”
Amazon account holders can enable LegalShield by Alexa by simply saying, “Alexa, open LegalShield,” and begin asking questions. Additionally, users can get started by prefacing their question with, “Alexa, ask LegalShield…”
LegalShield for Google Home requires only that users simply say, “Ok, Google, talk to LegalShield,” and begin asking questions. Similar to Alexa, Google Home users can also interact with LegalShield for Google Home without first opening LegalShield for Google Home by prefacing their question with, “Ok Google, ask LegalShield…” or “Hey Google, ask LegalShield…”
With a recent study showing that voice-enabled speaker usage is poised to grow nearly 130 percent in 2017, LegalShield continues to successfully roll out product features that meet the demands of today’s customer.
