DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The national law firm of Baron & Budd is pleased to announce that Laura Baughman, managing shareholder in the firm’s Pharmaceutical Litigation Group, has been selected as a member of the 2017 Nation’s Top One Percent list by the National Association of Distinguished Counsel (NADC). This is the third consecutive year that Baughman has received this honor.
Members of the Nation’s Top One Percent list are thoroughly vetted by a blue ribbon panel of attorneys from independent organizations. A judicial review board determines the final selection of attorneys named to the list. The mission of the NADC is to objectively recognize attorneys who elevate the standards of the Bar and provide a benchmark for other lawyers to emulate.
Baughman represents individual personal injury and wrongful death victims and public entities regarding harm caused by Granuflo, a kidney dialysis device. She is also actively working on cases related to IVC filters, Risperdal, and Transvaginal Mesh litigation. Baughman also represented seven states against GlaxoSmithKline regarding misrepresentations made in the marketing of the diabetes drug Avandia.
Baughman is an active member of the Dallas community, who has established a long track record of community service. She has represented several clients on a pro bono basis through the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program and has also served as co-chair and honorary chair of several committees for Attorneys Serving the Community.
