NEWTON, Mass.--()--Five Star Senior Living Inc. (Nasdaq: FVE), one of the nation's leading senior living and healthcare services providers, announced today that the company is expanding its rehabilitation and wellness services to senior living communities outside of its current operations. Along with this expansion initiative, Five Star’s Rehab & Wellness division is rebranding with a new name: Ageility Physical Therapy Solutions and a new logo.

Five Star’s comprehensive physical rehabilitation and wellness services are designed to help seniors maintain and improve their physical strength and independence following serious medical procedures and conditions. Five Star boasts a staff of roughly 1,000 highly trained physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech language pathologists employed throughout Five Star communities across the country and is excited to bring their expertise to non-Five Star operated communities. The combination of this professional expertise and Five Star Senior Living’s brand means that rehab services are delivered with both clinical excellence and a hospitality approach. Establishing Ageility clinics in select new locations means that Five Star can help more residents experience a healthier, more independent life.

Our name change to Ageility Physical Therapy Solutions will allow us to expand beyond Five Star communities where we can apply our extensive knowledge and superior service in this niche market to more seniors,” said Denise Kelly, Vice President of Rehab & Wellness. “The Ageility name reflects our belief that physical strength and independence are important no matter your age. We will offer rehab services, wellness programs and personal fitness with customized treatment plans to individuals of all ages.”

Five Star Senior Living will expand its rehabilitation services outside of its communities by establishing partnerships with other senior living providers. This expansion is a result of Five Star’s commitment to meeting the growing need for rehabilitation services and the changing needs and wants of the seniors that Five Star serves.
