Yottaa Reports Record Revenue for Q2 2017

Growth Driven by Increased Adoption of the Company’s eCommerce Acceleration Platform and New Customers Wins in European and B2B Markets

WALTHAM, Mass.--()--Yottaa, the leading cloud platform for accelerating eCommerce, today announced outstanding second quarter performance across all operational areas of the company, including sales, marketing, engineering, cloud operations, and customer success.

For Q2 2017 Yottaa reported its best quarter in the company’s history with bookings increasing more than 200% year over year. To keep pace with the company’s tremendous growth, in H1 Yottaa increased its headcount at a double-digit rate and grew its global infrastructure by 50%. Yottaa also released a new product, Rapid CTRL, which is already improving site performance for online retailers across the globe.

In Q2 Yottaa expanded its reach by signing new customers with $2 billion in online sales. The new customers include a major European home improvement brand, as well as one of the top global B2B brands. Other customer wins in the quarter include one of the nation’s leading aftermarket automotive retailers, one of the largest beauty retailers in the United States, a multi-billion dollar household goods retailer, and a leading beverage manufacturer. Furthermore regarding new customer wins, Yottaa recently announced The Container Store, the nation’s leading retailer of storage and organization products.

Today, Yottaa’s eCommerce Acceleration software is helping over 700 leading eCommerce sites improve web performance across all devices, resulting in increased online conversions and higher customer satisfaction.

To validate the importance of web performance in eCommerce, Yottaa commissioned a research report in Q2 with Retail Systems Research (RSR). The report titled "eCommerce Performance: What Works, What Doesn't, and What's Next?" evaluates 80 major retail websites on page speed performance as well as shopper experience. According to the research findings, eCommerce site performance is “disturbingly slow” with “time-to-complete load times for the 80 retailers systemically underperforming customer expectations, averaging 9.5 seconds on mobile and 16.6 seconds on desktop.” The RSR report concluded that many retailers are losing online revenue as shoppers are leaving their sites due to poor performance. “As revealed in the recent RSR report, retailers need faster web performance to drive higher online conversions,” said Rich Stendardo, CEO of Yottaa. “The correlation between performance and conversion was a key driver for a large number of retailers to purchase the Yottaa eCommerce Acceleration Platform in Q2, leading to the company’s biggest quarter to date. This is a very exciting time for Yottaa and we look forward to continuing to scale the company to achieve even greater results in the second half of 2017.”
