Calgary Scientific’s PureWeb Recognized as Universal Cloud Platform

Roger Strukhoff Explores PureWeb Platform Benefits to Enterprise Application Transformation

CALGARY, Alberta--()--PureWeb from Calgary Scientific is highlighted in a recent post by Roger Strukhoff. In Search of a Universal Cloud Platform...” explores “the real challenge in developing a cloud strategy is to find a platform that can deploy applications and manage data within whatever clouds are in use. I've been looking at something called PureWeb for several months that seems to fit that description.”

The post explains, “Enter PureWeb. For starters, it provides universal access to images, and connects devices and teams without moving data. This means large image files can be shared throughout and across organizations on any device with no loss of quality, but with absolute security.”

“Company developers also write APIs (at either the service level or data level) to integrate data sources that are not natively supported, thus rendering PureWeb into a universal platform that can liberate legacy data from those stovepipes into whatever hybrid or multi-cloud strategy an enterprise may follow,” the post concludes.

Strukhoff first wrote about PureWeb last year in his post “Private Cloud's Last-Mile Problem,” which discussed the challenges of extracting and sharing very large databases and files. “PureWeb might be that breakthrough technology that not only offers a superior solution in the use of large, visual files, but will also spur a new era of private-cloud growth.” The post also addressed how in order to enable omni-channel applications that are fully viewable and accessible on all systems and devices, PureWeb could break the visualization bottleneck for private cloud scenarios.

One of the Top 50 IoT Thought Leaders in the World, Roger Strukhoff spent 25+ years in Silicon Valley and other technology regions. He is Executive Director of the Tau Institute for Global ICT Research, Conference Chair of CloudExpo & ThingsExpo, and Editor of SYS-CON Media's CloudComputing BigData & IoT Journals.
