Grant Thornton names Michael Poveda as Partner-in-Charge of the Albany market

ALBANY, N.Y.--()--Grant Thornton LLP has named Michael Poveda as partner-in-charge of the Albany market. In this role, Mike will focus on client service, growth and talent development in the Northeast.

Poveda joins Grant Thornton with more than 20 years of public accounting experience providing assurance and business advisory services to public and private companies. In his previous role, he led cross-functional, diverse teams delivering services to clients ranging from multinational Fortune 500 companies to successful start-ups, and was a partner at Deloitte.

Poveda is a certified public accountant (CPA) in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, and a chartered financial analyst (CFA). A native of upstate New York, Poveda received a bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York at Albany. He serves on the accounting advisory board at the University at Albany and is active in the community.
