Orthopaedic Institute for Children Announces Alyssa Milano 2017 Stand for Kids Humanitarian Award Recipient; Master of Ceremonies Max Greenfield

LOS ANGELES--()--The Orthopaedic Institute for Children (OIC) is pleased to announce Alyssa Milano as its 2017 Stand for Kids Humanitarian Award recipient. As an actor, producer, designer, activist, humanitarian and mother, Milano is best known for her roles in “Charmed,” “Melrose Place” and “Who’s the Boss?”

Saturday, June 10, will mark the second year that OIC has returned to the Stand for Kids Annual Gala. This year’s event promises to be even more extraordinary – an evening of elegance and glamour that will capture the excitement of old Hollywood with this year’s Venetian Bohemian Chic theme.

Leading the evening’s charge will be Master of Ceremonies, Emmy® and Golden Globe® nominee Max Greenfield, who can be seen in the critically acclaimed comedy “Hello My Name is Doris” with Sally Field and heard as the voice of “Roger” in the animated comedy “Ice Age: Collision Course.”

Singer, actor and poet Kathryn Gallagher will once again grace OIC’s Annual Gala stage. Performing her original music, Gallagher was a huge success at the OIC’s Stand for Kids 2016 Annual Gala.

For the first time, Australian singing sensation Toby Rand will perform his latest hits for OIC’s 2017 Annual Gala attendees.

The Band From TV, a powerhouse of well-known and acclaimed actors performing for the night, include: Greg Grunberg (“Alias”) on drums, Amanda Righetti ("The Colony") on cello, Adrian Pasdar (“Heroes”) on guitar and vocals, Scott Grimes (“American Dad”) on keyboards and vocals, Eddie Matos (“General Hospital”) on percussion, and Sarah Wayne Callies (“The Colony”) and Bob Guiney (“The Bachelor”) on vocals. Rounding out the band are accomplished musicians Chris Kelley (music director), Brad Savage (former child actor) on bass, Barry Sarna (Eagles) on keyboards, and Chris Mostert (Eagles) on sax. The successful and ever-popular Band from TV has been performing for charities since 2006.
