CLEVELAND--()--Flexjet LLC, offering travelers access to the world’s most luxurious fleet of private jets, today announced that the company’s Red Label Pilot uniforms were honored with an Image of the Year Award from the North-American Association of Uniform Manufacturers and Distributors (NAUMD).

Image of the Year is an annual awards program hosted by NAUMD that recognizes organizations exhibiting the very best in workplace apparel. Recipients of the award are selected by independent judges for the originality of the design, projection of branding, functionality for the job, and use of technology and innovation.

Flexjet’s innovative gray and black uniform is a divergence from the ordinary. In fact, the color and materials used are exclusive to Flexjet. Designed in harmony with the Flexjet LXi cabin collection interiors, and utilizing premium materials in contemporary colors, Flexjet pilots enjoy a unique and award-winning look. Owners can now easily recognize their crews within moments of arriving at the FBO due to the unique and exclusive look. This was a key design criterion.

Flexjet closely collaborated with Affinity Apparel to produce the uniforms in time for premier of the “Red Label by Flexjet” program. This award was Affinity’s ninth consecutive win in the Image of the Year category.

“When we launched the Red Label program, we also sought to create uniforms that are as unique as the program itself and would distinguish our crewmembers from others,” said Ric Michaels, Flexjet Director of Global Product Intelligence, and designer of the LXi cabin collection interiors and crew uniforms. “Affinity was instrumental in helping us achieve our lofty vision. Their creativity and attention to detail helped set Flexjet apart from contemporaries in the industry.”

The details of the pilot uniform helped it to stand out in the award competition and every day in the field. A pale yellow woven tie appears silver against a stunning dark grey shirt. Michaels said the choice brings a harmony with the aircraft exterior paint scheme plus the grey jet cockpits.

Flexjet Red Label large-cabin pilots wear custom double-breasted blazers befitting of a world-class crew. Details, which were inspired by Air Force original designs, include classic sewn-on sleeve braiding to highlight the Captain’s rank. The blazers and shirts are highlighted by silver and black epaulets. These subtle design details portray a passion for aviation that stood out to the judges.

The black slacks are detailed with a thin pinstripe. The camel-colored leather belts frame a Flexjet etched logo belt buckle. Winter wear includes an exclusive branded brown leather bomber jacket manufactured to full military spec including silk lining “inlay map of Europe.” Lightweight city jackets complete seasonal wear.
