BIRMINGHAM, Ala.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--For a third straight year, Golden Flake® Snack Foods has been recognized with the prestigious President’s Safety Award by the Alabama Trucking Association, for the safest operation of tractor-trailers in the state of Alabama for 2016.
The Alabama Trucking Association (ATA), founded in 1938, supports members in safe driving operation through driver training, investment in advanced safety technologies and active participation in industry safety initiatives at the local, state and national levels.
ATA’s safety awards program recognizes member companies with the lowest accident frequency per million miles traveled in the state of Alabama for the previous year. Entries are judged by an independent panel composed of state troopers from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Motor Carrier Safety Unit.
Awarding Golden Flake® with the President’s Safety Award is representative of Golden Flake’s® ongoing commitment to training, development and the safe operation of tractor-trailer vehicles.
