SALT LAKE CITY--()--International law firm Dorsey & Whitney LLP announced today that Randon Wilson has joined the Firm as Of Counsel in its Corporate Group in the Salt Lake City office.

Mr. Wilson is a corporate attorney with more than 50 years of experience representing numerous cooperatives – particularly agricultural cooperatives in the Rocky Mountain States. Mr. Wilson also served as counsel for a cooperative client in a successful challenge of the Federal Line Item Veto law, which resulted in the U.S. Supreme Court striking down that law in 1998.

Mr. Wilson joins Dorsey from the Jones Waldo law firm in Salt Lake City, where he was a shareholder and previously served as President and Chairman of the Board. He joined Jones Waldo in 1966 upon his return from service as an Infantry Officer in Vietnam. Mr. Wilson has been recognized by Chambers USA and by Best Lawyers in America®. He has been involved for many years in the National Council of Farmer Cooperatives and many other organizations focused on cooperatives.

“Randon has tremendous knowledge and experience relating to cooperatives,” said Dorsey Managing Partner Ken Cutler. “He will expand our cooperatives practice with his vast experience in mergers and acquisitions and other transactional work and enhance the Firm’s already strong industry focus in food and agribusiness.”

Mr. Wilson noted, “This is an excellent opportunity for me, and I look forward to bringing my coop background and expertise to Dorsey’s strong Firm-wide practices serving cooperatives and the food and agriculture industry more generally.
