Checkmarx Joins German Cyber Security Council

BERLIN & NEW YORK--()--The German Cyber Security Council and Checkmarx, a global leader in cyber and application security testing, announced today the induction of Checkmarx into the German Cyber Security Council. This exciting new membership approval was delivered by key council member, General Secretary of the Council Mr. Hans-Wilhelm Dünn, at the 2016 HLS & Cyber Conference, which took place mid-November in Tel Aviv, Israel.

Checkmarx welcomes the opportunity to extend its knowledge and deep expertise in the application security field to the council and its members, and to join a global advocacy group dedicated to strengthening the global fight against cybercrime.

The German Cyber Security Council was founded in 2012 by a group of renowned security experts and thought leaders. The organization aims to increase collaboration between politics, public administration, businesses and academia for the purpose of protecting IT infrastructure, establishing methods to improve cybersecurity awareness, and developing a nationwide cybersecurity network both in Europe and around the world. The association has a diverse membership base consisting of over 2 million employees from the German economy across large and medium-sized enterprises, critical infrastructure operators, numerous federal states, experts and political decision-makers.
