Gamer Sensei and NRG eSports Team Up to Recruit Pro Hearthstone Team

Aspiring Gamers can earn their spot on Team NRG by signing up at gamersensei.com

BOSTON--()--Gamer Sensei, the online mastery platform for competitive gamers, announced today that it is leading recruitment of a Pro Hearthstone Team for NRG eSports. The two companies already partner for coaching and curriculum development, and the direct development of pro talent represents a bold new step for both organizations. In an industry first move, the opportunity to audition for NRG’s team will be offered exclusively to qualified candidates from the Gamer Sensei website. For players interested in submitting an application and registering for lessons, please visit Gamer Sensei.

“eSports is maturing so fast, yet the infrastructure to support it is struggling to keep up. Pro leagues across Football, Baseball, Basketball and Hockey have established organizations known for their proven ability to scout talent. Gamer Sensei is now filling this void for eSports,” said Rohan Gopaldas, co-founder of Gamer Sensei. "Gamer Sensei already provides incredible, professional coaching to Gamers of all levels. Now, we’re also sourcing talent exclusively for eSports biggest organizations. Recruiting a Hearthstone Team for NRG eSports is just the first of many teams we’ll be creating across all eSports titles. If you are a Gamer and you don't already learn or coach with Gamer Sensei, now is the time to get involved and get discovered."

Potential candidates must pass Gamer Sensei’s rigorous coaching certification, which begins with an application here. Alternatively, Gamers can also get noticed by completing lessons with a student account, created here.

“NRG eSports continues to set precedent for eSports, and joining Gamer Sensei to create the world's first eSports recruiting pipeline is just another example. This exclusive partnership is a huge validation of our platform, our caliber of talent and the algorithms we’ve built to assess and rank players and coaches,” added Gamer Sensei’s other co-founder, William Collis.

Potential candidates must also have actively coached or trained on the platform for at least ten hours, since NRG eSports is also considering candidates for analyst and head coach positions. Gamer Sensei's ten most active and qualified Sensei will be selected for the final auditions along with select top students.

“It was an easy decision for us to broaden our partnership, and recruit our Hearthstone Team exclusively though Gamer Sensei," said Andy Miller, Chairman of NRG eSports. “With the recent addition of Amaz to the NRG family, we are more excited than ever to create a world class Hearthstone Team with Gamer Sensei’s help. The depth of talent already on the Gamer Sensei platform is remarkable.”

This partnership represents a rare opportunity for players to bypass the typical, lengthy route by which talent in the eSports scene is discovered. Gamer Sensei has already become a disruptive force by connecting gamers with their ideal Sensei, or coach, resulting in Gamers winning more. Now, this ambitious company is bridging the divide between the amateur and professional worlds as well.
