Women in Technology Announces New Leadership for 2016-2017 Year

FALLS CHURCH, Va.--()--Women in Technology (WIT), the DC region’s premier professional association dedicated to the advancement of women in the Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia technology community, has announced its 2016-2017 Board of Directors. The organization has also expanded its Leadership team to meet increased demand for services and programs among Washington’s Women in Technology community.

Leading the organization as this year’s President is Kathryn T. Harris, Principal Counsel for RLG. Prior to assuming the Presidential role, Ms. Harris has held a number of leadership positions with WIT.

“Women in Technology has been serving women from across the DC region’s technology industry for more than 20 years, offering women an environment for professional growth and engagement and girls an avenue for learning more about the vast opportunity in STEM careers,” said Ms. Harris. “Technology will continue to drive the businesses and jobs of tomorrow. In the coming year, WIT will again be a strong contributor to the conversation on technology’s transformational role and will empower women for success in the technology field, from the classroom to the boardroom.”
