BOSTON--()--Invaluable, the world’s leading online marketplace for fine art, antiques and collectibles, today announced that Invaluable CEO Rob Weisberg has been selected as a finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2016 Award. The award program, which is celebrating its 30th year, recognizes entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. Weisberg was selected as a finalist by a panel of independent judges.

“It is a huge honor to have been selected as a finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award, and I’m very proud to be part of such a wonderful program celebrating entrepreneurship around the world,” said Weisberg. “It is exciting to be part of the evolution of the age-old art industry and to see the huge impact our work is having on auction houses, galleries and dealers by expanding their reach globally and making it easier to connect people with the things they love.”

Weisberg joined Invaluable in October 2012 and transformed Invaluable into the largest online marketplace for the most sought-after fine art, antiques and collectibles in the world. Under his leadership, Invaluable has built the most stable and secure online auction technology in the industry, and unified the historically fragmented art market with the launch of the company’s “Buy Now” offering in March 2016 by bringing auction houses, art galleries and antique dealers around the world together in a single marketplace. Under Weisberg’s leadership, Invaluable experienced a record year in 2015 with a 60 percent increase in live auction revenue over the year prior.

This year marks the second year in a row that Weisberg has been named a finalist in the program. Now in its 30th year, the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® program has expanded to recognize business leaders in more than 145 cities in more than 60 countries throughout the world.
