Hobson Bullman of ARM®, Juergen Weyer of NXP To Deliver Keynote Addresses at DVCon™ Europe 2016

Speeches to Include Automotive Technology Trends and Advanced Development Flows

MUNICH--()--The Design and Verification Conference (DVCon) Europe 2016 has announced two keynote speakers for the conference in Munich, Germany on October 19th and 20th. Hobson Bullman, General Manager of the Technology Services Group at ARM and Juergen Weyer, Vice President of Automotive Sales for EMEA at NXP Semiconductors will deliver addresses focused on advanced development flows and automotive technology trends, respectively.

Mr. Bullman will address the current methodology and infrastructure challenges being faced, and discuss solutions developed by ARM for delivering IP to a demanding partner base across a wide variety of markets. He will examine trends and evolving practices that maximize development effectiveness across large engineering teams. Mr. Weyer will leverage his considerable knowledge of the automotive semiconductor industry to present the design trends and technologies that he considers critical in this market. In his talk entitled “The Road Ahead for the Securely Connected, Self-Driving Car,” he will highlight ongoing developments and next-generation solutions to enable securely connected and self-driving cars.

Now in its third year, DVCon Europe attracts electronics engineers and managers from all over Europe, and beyond. Its focus is the practical application of the latest design and verification techniques employed on electronic semiconductors and systems. Offering a broad and extensive range of tutorials, papers, panels, and keynote speeches, the conference has rapidly established itself as a key event in Europe for anyone involved in the development of complex electronic devices. ABOUT THE SPEAKERS

Hobson Bullman is General Manager of the Technology Services Group at ARM, and is a board member of ARM KK. He has been at ARM since 1996, after completing his PhD at the University of Cambridge. Throughout his career at ARM, Hobson has specialized in software and hardware development solutions. He is passionate about tools that improve engineering efficiency as an integral part of a solution offering. Hobson represented ARM on various industry bodies and community organizations, including the Eclipse Foundation, the Nexus 5001 Forum, and the Symbian Foundation.

Juergen Weyer is the Vice President of Automotive Sales for EMEA at NXP Semiconductors, and the Managing Director of Freescale Halbleiter Deutschland GmbH. After receiving a degree in electronics from the Coburg University of Applied Sciences, from 1980 to 1992 Juergen held positions of increasing responsibility for Logic ICs and ASICs at Motorola. From 1992 to 1998 he held operations management roles in Motorola’s Communications & Consumer Group and the Wireless Subscriber Systems Group. In 1998 he moved into sales management and, in 2003, was appointed as Motorola’s General Manager of EMEA Automotive Sales & Marketing, transitioning to Freescale as the EMEA Vice President of Automotive Sales and Marketing a year later. In 2015 he was appointed to his current role at NXP.
