Proskauer Expands Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Capabilities with Addition of Partner Seth Safra

New partner broadens the reach of Proskauer's national benefits practice and continues growth of Washington, D.C. office

WASHINGTON--()--International law firm Proskauer today announced the arrival of Seth J. Safra as a partner in its nationally recognized Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation Group, resident in Washington, D.C.

Mr. Safra serves as principal employee benefits and executive compensation counsel to some of the country’s largest employers. He advises clients on all facets of employee benefits and executive compensation, including the design and administration of retirement plans, equity and other performance-based compensation plans, and health and welfare arrangements. He represents clients before government regulatory agencies, including the Internal Revenue Service and the Department of Labor, and is recognized for his creativity, pragmatism, client service and ability to find common ground among adversaries.

Mr. Safra received his J.D. from Duke University School of Law, summa cum laude, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif and a research editor of the Duke Law Journal, and his B.C.E., summa cum laude from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Seth was a law clerk to the Hon. Paul V. Niemeyer of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.

Mr. Safra was previously a partner at Covington & Burling.
