Norse Named to SC Magazine’s List of “Cyberthreat Analysis and Intelligence: Innovators 2015”

FOSTER CITY, Calif.--()--Norse Corp., the leader in live attack intelligence, today announced it has just been named to the SC Magazine list of “Cyberthreat analysis and intelligence: Innovators 2015.” The distinction—which recognizes an entirely new category described as one of the most important areas of next-generation network and data protection—comes as the company is gaining momentum in the marketplace for its slate of products and services in the critical area of information security, and has received additional Series A funding in venture capital.

“We appreciate this honor, and we thank SC Magazine for naming Norse to the list of innovators in cyberthreat analysis and intelligence,” said Norse co-founder and CEO Sam Glines. “We know that many technology providers enter the market every day, but very few receive this level of recognition, and we’re gratified to see our hard work being rewarded. We also understand that this is a dynamic field, and we remain committed to helping our customers stay ahead of the dangers in this complex threat environment with product innovation and dedication.”

The category of cyberthreat analysis and intelligence focuses on the core problem of understanding the makeup and danger of each emerging threat. According to SC Magazine, Norse offers “a nearly perfect mix of cyberintelligence in general and what we refer to as “bits and bytes” intelligence. There are important players in the open source and threat actor intelligence niches and there are solid players in the pure bits and bytes offerings, but there are none as comprehensive as Norse that straddle both communities. Norse is an excellent mix of knowing what is happening on the internet and knowing, as well, what that knowledge means in the overall threat intelligence community.”

The company is marching ahead in its mission to block attacks before they target enterprises, dramatically improving the ROI on an organization’s entire security infrastructure. The company just released Norse Appliance 2.0, which features a broader sensor network that serves better and richer data, in turn enabling even lower false positives. Enhancements to the continuous threat monitoring capabilities also provides the depth and breadth of visibility needed to identify relevant malicious activity across each enterprise and its connected partners’ networks. The new offering represents the most proactive security posture and rapid threat mitigation solution currently available.
