OSLO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Cxense, the global leader in real-time data management and personalization solutions, today announced John Paton has been appointed to chair of Cxense’s Advisory Board. In this role, John will oversee the Advisory Board and will help Cxense grow within media, financial and consumer brands on a global scale.

John is chairman and a managing partner at IVA Ventures. Previously, he was CEO of Digital First Media, the second largest newspaper company in the United States, and CEO of impreMedia, the largest Hispanic news-and-information company in the country. He serves on the board of The Guardian, El Pais and PRISA, as well as serves as an advisor to a number of leading media start-ups. Prior to his appointment as chair of the Cxense Advisory Board, John served as Cxense Advisory Board member where he made strategic recommendations during Cxense’s recent acquisitions of the U.S.-based advertising optimization company Maxifier and the media arm of the video company Ramp. John is accompanied by fellow advisor board members Kjell Aamot, former Schibsted CEO, and Norikazu Tokusue, the Japanese IT icon.
