RADNOR, Pa.--()--Joe DiBianca, who founded Global Tax Management, Inc. (GTM) in 1995 and guided the company through unprecedented periods of growth, is receiving the Outstanding Alumnus Recognition Award from Drexel University’s LeBow College of Business. DiBianca is honored as a graduate of the school’s Accounting Department for achieving exceptional success in business. He is the sole recipient of the award for 2015.

DiBianca earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Drexel and founded the university’s Delta Tau chapter of Beta Alpha Psi, the society for financial information professionals. In bestowing the annual Outstanding Alumnus Recognition Award, Delta Tau recognizes an alumnus who has provided meritorious service to the profession and reached a level of business success that serves as an extraordinary example for current student members of the society. The award also rewards an alumnus for ongoing commitment to the university. Approximately 15% of GTM employees are alumni of Drexel University.

“Mr. DiBianca has supported LeBow and our accounting students for many years by hiring our students as co-ops and recruiting Drexel graduates as service professionals for Global Tax Management,” said Hubert Glover, PhD, Associate Clinical Professor and Accounting Department Head at Drexel. “Joe has always shown his pride in his alma mater and we thank him for his support.”

Now serving as GTM’s Chairman and Strategic Advisor, DiBianca has more than 35 years of experience in tax accounting and mergers and acquisitions for large public corporations. Before founding GTM, he served as tax director for a Fortune 500 company and senior tax manager at Main Hurdman, which merged to become KPMG. During DiBianca’s 20-year tenure at GTM, the firm has expanded rapidly across the Mid-Atlantic region. Over the last three years, GTM experienced an average annual growth of 20% and earned a spot on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing private companies in the U.S. The company has more than 130 employees throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, and Delaware and has been honored as one of the best places to work in Pennsylvania for the last three consecutive years.
