SALT LAKE CITY--()--Vivint is giving away free tickets to celebrate the Utah Jazz home opener and the first game in the newly named Vivint Smart Home Arena on Wednesday, Nov. 4 against the Portland Trail Blazers.

Vivint has purchased 500 upper bowl tickets for distribution to deserving Jazz fans on a first-come, first-served basis. The giveaway begins at noon on Nov. 4 in the lower level ticket office at Vivint Smart Home Arena. Entry will be through gate five. There is a two-ticket limit per person. Free parking will be provided at Park Place. Fans are encouraged to wear their Jazz gear.

“To celebrate the first game in the newly named arena, we want to treat some fans to this game who otherwise wouldn’t be able to come,” said Alex Dunn, president of Vivint. “Vivint has been a long-time supporter of the Jazz, and we share a deep commitment to the community and the fans. This is the first of many community programs that we will do in partnership with the Jazz.”

Last week, Vivint, a leading smart home provider and one of the top tech companies in Utah, became the official naming rights partner of the downtown Salt Lake City arena that is home of the Utah Jazz, and the region’s premier concert and entertainment venue. The 19,911-seat facility is considered one of the most difficult places to play in the NBA because of its loyal and loud fan base. The basketball court is named for Larry H. Miller, who spearheaded the construction of the building 25 years ago for the 1991-92 season.

The home opener marks the 25th season for the Jazz playing in their downtown arena. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and tipoff is 7 p.m. The Jazz feature Head Coach Quin Snyder, along with returning players Trevor Booker, Trey Burke, Alec Burks, Danté Exum, Derrick Favors, Rudy Gobert, Gordon Hayward, Rodney Hood, Joe Ingles, Chris Johnson and Elijah Millsap, and newcomers Trey Lyles, Raul Neto, Tibor Pleiss and Jeff Withey.
