AlertDriving Introduces Advanced Defensive Driver Training

TORONTO--()--AlertDriving, the global leader in driver risk management, today announced it is expanding its training library—the industry’s largest—with the release of three new fully interactive defensive driver courses. Completely mobile-optimized and using High Definition video, AlertDriving’s Advanced Defensive Driver Training will give fleets the ability to test, score and compare driver risk levels in the following common, yet dangerous, driving situations:

Challenging Weather Conditions: Extreme temperatures and other adverse weather conditions decrease traction and visibility while also increasing crash risk. Recognizing these hazards, drivers will learn to maximize visibility in fog, glare or precipitation, and to maintain control on slippery roads.

Avoiding Collisions with Fixed Objects: Collisions with fixed objects can be costly, and most are avoidable. With this course, drivers will understand common driving mistakes and learn how to manage their visual constraints, anticipate hazards, and park wisely.

Danger Zones: Concentrating any number of unpredictable risks in one area, Danger Zones can range from rural roads and intersections to parking lots. This course outlines key defensive driving techniques that will help drivers scan effectively, anticipate trouble, and maximize space.

“AlertDriving stands alone as the only SaaS provider in the industry capable of delivering test-based behavioral analytics—even on common fleet accidents—in any country around the world,” explains Rob Martin, Vice President of Sales at AlertDriving. “FleetDefenseSM training comes standardized with universal road safety concepts supported by science; drivers across markets can be tested consistently using a global curriculum that adapts to local laws yet still delivers objective, test-based risk reporting in over 120 languages.”

The Advanced Defensive Driver Training is currently available in three countries and five languages—with a wider release coming in the near future.

With over 2.5 million drivers trained, AlertDriving is dedicated to helping global fleets identify, mitigate and monitor their risk exposure. FleetDefenseSM, the company’s driver risk management suite, combines training in over 100 languages with built-in metrics giving fleets standardized risk reporting anywhere in the world.
