OKLAHOMA CITY--()--Wells Fargo Commercial Banking, No.1 in new lead banking relationships with middle-market companies nationwide, announced today that it has named Cyndi Giles to head Commercial Banking in Oklahoma. As regional vice president, Giles oversees teams of financial service professionals based in Wells Fargo’s Oklahoma City Commercial Banking hub and its Tulsa office.

Both teams serve middle-market companies with annual revenues of greater than $20 million across a broad spectrum of industries, including manufacturing, wholesale, retail, distribution, construction, and clean tech.

When it comes to the economic recovery, middle-market companies in Oklahoma and nationwide are buckled firmly into the driver’s seat, according to Laura MacNeil, Oklahoma and North Texas Division manager for Wells Fargo Commercial Banking. Middle market companies employ more than 30 million Americans, providing real jobs for real people to raise families, she added.

“As businesses grapple with the impact of the sluggish energy sector and skittish stock market, we are fortifying our market leadership with a seasoned finance professional, who brings 18 years of experience to her new role,” MacNeil said. “Cyndi is an accomplished leader who understands the nuances of this influential business sector and has an unbridled passion for helping these companies reach their financial goals.”

Giles began her banking career in 1998 with First American Bank. Giles also held leadership positions with Texas Capital Bank, the Amegy Bank National Association, and Regions Bank. She most recently spent four years as a senior relationship manager and loan team lead for Wells Fargo’s Dallas Regional Commercial Banking Office, managing some of the division’s most complex customer relationships. She earned a bachelor’s in finance from Texas A&M University.

Giles said she plans to build on Wells Fargo’s gains in the market, continuing the company’s relationship-centric approach, providing local lending decisions, industry expertise, and a wide-range of customizable financial services.

“We take a long-term view when it comes to lending and work side-by-side with our customers to help them succeed through all economic cycles,” Giles said. “I’m excited to lead a talented team that has already established deep roots in the Oklahoma business community.”
